Job Description :
- Permanent position for an Architectural Design Engineer for for high end retail store displays using wood, plastics and metals.
- Create drawings with knowledge of materials, production methods, and construction using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Utilize knowledge of general building codes, including typical architectural construction methods.
- Take artists’ renderings or sketches and generate well thought-out construction drawings for various store installations types.
- Read and understanding construction documents for designs and installations.
- Work on fast paced projects in a fast paced environment.
- Travel periodically to retail locations to perform site surveys.
Required Qualifications :
- BS Architecture or Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Architectural design.
- Comprehensive knowledge of materials, production methods, and construction.
- Good knowledge of general building codes, including typical architectural construction methods.
- Ability to take an artists’ rendering/sketch and generate well thought-out construction drawings, for various store installations types.
- Strong expertise in reading and understanding construction documents.
- Highly proficient 3D CAD skills, AutoCAD is required, and SolidWorks is a plus.
- Ability to handle fast paced projects, in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to perform successfully within a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize and work independently.
- Excellent communication, planning and presentation skills - allowing interaction with all levels of management – both internal and external.
- Willing to travel periodically, to perform site surveys of retail environments.
