Job Description :
- Permanent position for an Electrical Engineering Team Lead to design and manage a diverse level of projects and ensure project success and client satisfaction.
- Serve as Electrical Engineering Manager for different sized projects and take leadership on electrical related code compliance, design development, allocated design budget, and an assigned design team.
- Design commercial and industrial electrical power projects, preparing technical reports, specifications, value engineering and undertaking technical investigation studies.
- Modify existing electrical distribution systems using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Perform arc flash hazard analyses using SKM and Easypower for low and medium voltage.
- Support the Project Manager in the overall design development and meeting with Clients, Consultants, Contractors and other external parties.
- Coordinate internally with other design disciplines and manage assigned design team.
- Prepare documents, evaluate, recommend, and support the tender award.
- Lead the QA/QC process for electrical design, milestone design review, and inter‐discipline cross‐checking.
- Review and comment on Contractor RFIs, material submissions, and shop drawings.
- Support project and construction management teams.
Required Qualifications :
- BS Electrical Engineering
- Experience with modifying existing medium voltage electrical distribution systems using AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with arc flash hazard analysis using SKM or Easypower.
- Experience and ability to lead and manage assigned team, external consultants and cross discipline coordination.
- Excellent communication skills in order to understand the Client's and team’s needs.
- Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible manner.
- Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer In Training (EIT) a plus, not required.
- Job will involve some light (~2‐3x / month) travel to client sites, all local within NJ / NY area.
- Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
