Job Description :
- Permanent position for a Facilities Manager to support day-to-day operations through planning, scheduling, and project management for building and grounds maintenance, equipment and infrastructure maintenance (preventative, and corrective), and equipment and infrastructure upgrade efforts.
- Responsible for supervision and management of facilities technicians, including those with electrical, mechanical, janitorial and
- facilities maintenance expertise.
- Administration of the building management system, including security system, and chemical / hazard monitoring system.
- Demonstrate a high regard for process safety.
- Communicate facility operations status, needs and concerns to site management.
- Establish and lead facility infrastructure maintenance program.
- Assess, validate, plan and execute internal customer work requests, including the development of work specifications, budgets, contracted services oversight, design / build supervision, project execution and project completion, as needed.
- Manage all necessary project planning, schedules, documentation, specifications, records, purchases, equipment spec sheets, etc..
- Provide project cost estimates (labor, materials), capital expense requests, identify and select external vendors, and manage project schedule and execution.
- Conduct predictive and preventative maintenance.
- Manage and update preventative maintenance schedule and plan.
- Ensure that all necessary parts, spares, and materials are available to fully execute scheduled maintenance assignments.
- Manage and maintain all necessary documentation (e.g., drawings, tech specifications, vendor manuals, etc.).
- Perform operational analysis of building infrastructure systems and assess performance as required.
- Manage interactions with landlord, township and auditors, as needed.
- Improve, support and create sustainability goals and programs.
Required Qualifications :
- AAS or BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Maintenance Engineering preferred.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, and process gas / chemical delivery systems is required.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and equipment specifications related to hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronics (PLC), HVAC, carpentry, welding, machining, and fabricating.
- Ability to prepare written work instructions of suitable detail to be understood and utilized by target users.
- Project management experience and ability to accurately estimate project / task requirements to safely complete the job.
- Supervisory experience to lead, supervise, communicate with, and develop skilled trades personnel.
- Ability to communicate rationale, strategy and plans to upper management.
