Job Description :
- Contract to direct position for a Mechanical Engineer to design commercial, and industrial plumbing and piping systems and HVAC systems including pharmaceutical, healthcare, water and hi-tech facilities.
- Design and drafting commercial fit-out projects, must be proficient in designing hot and cold water distribution systems, sanitary and storm water systems, fuel conveying systems, medical gas conveying systems, and fire protection systems.
- Perform field survey work in support of preparing detailed design and as-built drawings, and must have a strong understanding of NFPA, IBC and NYC codes.
- Responsible for piping system calculations, application and specification such as: air and water pressure drop calculations, cold and hot water supply requirements, hot water storage, drainage fixture units, and storm water capacities.
- Utilize AutoCAD, and draft electrical trade markups.
Required Qualifications :
- BS Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience in designing commercial, and industrial plumbing and piping systems and HVAC systems including pharmaceutical, healthcare, water and hi-tech facilities.
- Experience designing and drafting commercial fit-out projects, must be proficient in designing hot and cold water distribution systems, sanitary and storm water systems, fuel conveying systems, medical gas conveying systems, and fire protection systems.
