Job Description :

  • Permanent position for a Senior Aftermarket Product Development Engineer to create and manage designs of new aerospace products that meet FAA-PMA regulations for safety and functionality.

  • Responsible for reverse engineering, new product development, prototyping and testing.

  • Support product and sales teams.

  • Work as part of the team to develop new products, define data and production specifications, and create the PMA application package.

  • Help drive the growth of an industry leading aerospace company through new product development.

  • Develop and substantiate New FAA-PMA components and parts.

  • Reverse Engineer existing products and develop superior solutions.

  • Develop 3D models, drawings, and the other data.

  • Compile, Submit, and support FAA-PMA design applications.

  • Coordinate and support engineering efforts for both prototyping and normal production.

  • Complete Engineering changes to facilitate efficient production.

Required Qualifications :

  • AAS degree, BS degree preferred in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Aviation Maintenance

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Familiar with Aftermarket Development is a MUST.

  • FAA- PMA product certification experience.

  • Ability to communicate effectively across multi-functional teams, with customers, and the FAA.

  • Knowledge of basic structural design and analysis of mechanical components.

  • Understanding and experience with aircraft and their related systems.

  • Solid modeling and CAD proficiency.

  • Understanding and the ability to apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5M).

  • Experience with MS Office.

  • Experience with 3D CAD Software (Inventor, SolidWorks, Unigraphics, etc.).
